Public toilets in Fife will close when alternatives found

Fife’s public toilets will not be phased out until alternative facilities have been identified.

At the Fife Council meeting on 9 February, elected members voted to accept the budget proposals to save £200,000 over the next three years by closing council run public toilets throughout Fife.

Chair of the Environment, Enterprise & Transportation Committee, Cllr Tony Martin said: “It is important that communities are re-assured that no public toilet facilities will be closed until alternatives are provided.”
