A furry fundraiser from Leven will be putting his best paw forward to raise vital funds for Maggie’s Fife.
Milo the dog - accompanied by owner Sarah Morris - will take part in the Twilight Walk this Saturday night, which aims to raise money for the centre which is based in Kirkcaldy.
Sarah started visiting Maggie’s over a year ago and has benefited from the newly started young people’s group where she is able to meet with other teenagers and young people who have had their own cancer diagnosis.
She said: “I took part last year and met some great people on route. I really enjoyed it, and I decided to take Milo this year so that he could help me up that hill in Leslie!”
Elspeth Salter from Maggie’s Fife, said: “Four footed friends of Maggies like Milo always make me smile. It’s great to see the support of Milo and his mates for the Twilight Walk. Companionship on any challenge in life is so important to us all. It’s what makes Maggie’s so special.”
The walk is in its eighth year and starts at 7:30p.m. from the Lomond Centre, Glenrothes. Walkers can choose one, five or 10 miles. Adult registrations are £7.50, children £5 and dogs are free!
