Big entry already for photographic competition
The Fife Free Press Group readers’ 2015 calendar really has caught your attention... and imagination.
So much so, we are having to change the timetable and the organisation.
We believe the standard of entries will be so high that it would be daft to restrict the calendar to a last minute stocking filler.
The aim now is to bring out a top quality product and have it in the shops during the summer – allowing more visitors to take away a stunning souvenir of their stay in Fife... and a year-long reminder to come back.
Of the first entries we have received, few opted to stick to the winter theme so we are opening up the competition to simply any view of Fife and we are confident your photographs will cover all the seasons.
The Fife Free Press Group’s head of contributed content, Ralph Mellon, has been impressed with the first wave of entries.
“We know from the standard of contributions for our weekly feature that there are some truly talented photographers in our circulation areas.
“Some of the first entries have been absolutely stunning and we could probably produce a calendar just now that Fife could be proud of.
“This has the potential to be something really special.”
You can see some of the first entries in this stunning slideshow.
“We will add to that as the entries come in,” said Gordon Holmes, head of digital, “building up a portfolio of all the readers’ submissions.
“Once we have our final print deadlines, then we will get down to the hard task of judging the 12 winning pictures.”
Any view of Fife can be entered and these should be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org. marked ‘Calendar’ with details of the location.
