The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of rabbit found under a car outside Tesco in Cupar.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was called to rescue the white and fawn-coloured male rabbit after he was discovered at the South Road supermarket on Tuesday afternoon.
Now named Willow, he is being cared for at the Scottish SPCA’s Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
Animal Rescue Officer Robyn Cooper said: “Willow had a very lucky escape as he was found underneath a car and could easily have come to harm.
“He’s a really friendly boy and I think it’s likely he has an owner who’s missing him, although we can’t rule out the possibility he might have been abandoned.
“We’d love to return Willow home if he has strayed, but if no-one comes forward we’ll soon be looking to find him a new owner.”
Anyone who recognises Willow is being asked to call the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline a call on 03000 999 999.
