Tickets sales for the Raith Rovers Hall of Fame night are selling fast following the announcement of the first big name speaker.
Scotland and Liverpool legend Graeme Souness was unveiled as one of the star guests for the second night celebrating Rovers illustrious history last week, and since then organisers have reported a large rush on ticket sales - with the second main speaker still to be announced.
Alistair Cameron of the organising committee urged fans to snap up tickets before they all go.
“There’s less than 190 tickets left at £25,” he said.
“We saw a big increase after Graeme Souness was announced and we’re now working hard to get the second main speaker.”
Alistair said that talks are ongoing with Arsenal to secure one of the club’s ambassadors to induct Rovers and Arsenal legend Alex James.
“Arsenal are very keen to help and have been very co-operative,” he said.
Meanwhile, ex-Scotland manager Craig Brown will be attending to present a prize.
Now a non-executive director at Aberdeen, Brown (pictured) was in charge of the national side for 70 games - more than any other manager - leading them to both the European Championships and World Cup.
There will also be a return to Kirkcaldy for former Rovers boss John McGlynn, who was in charge at Stark’s Park for six years before leaving to take over the reins at Tynecastle as manager of Hearts in 2012.
“We’re delighted that Craig and John are coming along,” said Alistair.
“The board are still speaking to other footballing celebs and hope to have more names soon.”
All tickets are expected to go - last year’s inaugural event was a complete sell out - including all VIP tickets, of which a limited number of £50 tickets remain.
This will give the holder access to the VIP lounge, which includes a buffet. These are only available from the Adam Smith box office.
Also, only two of the full £1000 sponsorship packages are left. A group of four will have a meal with the special guests, will be driven to the theatre and have full access to the VIP lounge.
