Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after two youths threw fireworks at a group of children out walking a dog in Hill of Beath.
The incident happened on Friday, November 6 between 7 pm and 8 pm.
The group of young children were walking home with the dog in the Allan Park area of Hill of Beath, when two males threw a lit firework, which narrowly missed them.
As an adult tried to get them to safety, another lit firework was thrown at the adult.
Officers are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
The suspects are described as about 16 or 17 years old, white, of average height and medium build.
One was wearing a jumper and grey jogging bottoms with elasticated ankles and the other was wearing stonewash jeans.
Sergeant Caine McIntyre said: “This is a dangerous and reckless act which could have caused serious injury to the parties involved.
