Craig Hill: Playing With My Selfie
EICC (Venue 150)
It doesn’t matter how often you see him live, Craig Hull never fails to leave you crying with laughter.
There’s no such thing as a dull show when he bursts on to stage like a fizzbomb, and simply keeps going - and he’s on fine form at the Fringe, playing to full houses at the EICC.
Few stand-ups work harder on stage than Hill. While they wander slowly round the stage or lean on a mic stand, he dances, sings and races around, sparking multiple chats with his audience, and making them very much part of his set.
If you sit in the front row then you know what to expect - a question or even an invitation to dance -but it’s always done without malice.
Where the set starts and the audience chat ends is hard to say - he pieces it together so well.
For a genuine, laughter-filled night out, it’s really hard to look beyond Hill.
