THE attractive transformed country path created on the Leven/Methil border is now available for public use.

The pedestrian route, from the Bawbee Bridge to the iron bridge, linking on to the footpath to Cameronbridge, was created by Leven Valley Development Trust, Wemyss Estate, Scottish Enterprise, Fife Council and Diageo, among others, as part of the Trust’s general brief to enhance the Leven Valley area.

It is regarded as a very important asset to Levenmouth in ecological, economic, environmental and community terms.

Car parking, seats, notice boards and a commemorative stone have been provided, while it is hoped to put in some more seats and information boards before an official opening ceremony, which may be arranged around June.
