A TABLE top sale is to be held in Cupar tomorrow (Saturday) to help boost funds for the St John’s Spire Appeal.
Around £350,000 has already been raised to carry out vital repairs to the iconic Cupar landmark, but a further £20,000 needs to be found before the work can proceed.
Tomorrow’s sale, which takes place in St John’s Church Hall at 10.00 a.m, provides the opportunity to grab a bargain in babies’ and children’s clothes, toys and larger items such as prams and car seats.
Anyone with items to donate can still do so by contacting Marianne Berghuis on 01334 653572 or 07980 571138.
The St John’s and Dairsie United Parish Church is trying to raise awareness to the local community and find ways of fund-raising to reach our target of £20,000.
Marianne said: “It’s a long way to go and the sale is just one of the fund-raising ideas!”
Grants for the project have already been secured from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Scotland and the General Trustees of the Church of Scotland. To donate to the appeal, visit www.justgiving.com/spireappeal
