Serious assault prompts police appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in Lochore.

A member of the public called emergency services around 4.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

They reported a man with several serious injuries in Loch Leven Road, outside the Co-op.

The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and the 30-year-old was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

Officers believe he sustained these injuries shortly beforehand in the Loch Leven Gardens area.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to come forward.
