With the surname Munro he was destined to climb mountains, but Brian Munro undertook the challenge of a lifetime when he climbed Kilamanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,341 feet.

And Brian’s challenge inspired his family, friends and colleagues at the Fife Group to help him raise £10,698.95 in aid of our Maggie’s Centre.

Brian said: “I chose to support Maggie’s because I have had a number of family and friends who have been affected by cancer and, before Maggies, there wasn’t anywhere to go.

“Then my colleague and friend Beaton was diagnosed with cancer and I know he and his wife Jean really appreciate the support they receive at Maggie’s.”
