Co-operative Funeralcare in Denbeath is inviting families to remember their mums and pay tribute to her memory this Mother’s Day.
By writing thoughts and commemorations in a remembrance book – and lighting a candle in memory of your loved one – the Denbeath branch of the well-known funeral provider hopes to offer comfort and remember one of the most important and influencing individuals in a person’s life on the special day.
Martin Ferguson, manager, and Davina Douglas, funeral arranger at Wellesley Road, said: “Mother’s Day is a wonderful celebration of our mums’ lives and it can be a particularly difficult and poignant time for bereaved families.
“Here at the Denbeath Co-operative Funeralcare, we recognise that, though your mum may not be here with you, you still think of her every day, and perhaps even more so on Mother’s Day.
“Our funeral homes are at the very heart of local communities and, every day, our staff support families during very difficult times.”
The Denbeath branch of will be open this Mother’s Day, Sunday, March 15, from noon until 2.00pm.
So, if you would like to remember your mum this Mother’s Day by signing the remembrance book and lighting a candle, you can visit the premises at 663 Wellesley Road.
There will also be tea/coffee available, with some home-made baking, and an opportunity to chat with staff and others feeling the sense of loss on the special day.
For further information, please call into the branch or telephone 01592 713426.
The Levenmouth branch offered a similar service over the festive season, in which visitors could leave messages for a loved one on a special memorial Christmas tree.
