St Andrews’ Adamson Restaurant & Bar has taken the coveted ‘Restaurant of the Year’ title at this year’s prestigious CIS Excellence Awards.
The awards recognise the very best talent across Scotland’s hospitality industry.
Managing Director, Julie Lewis, is “absolutely thrilled” with the award, describing it as: “fantastic recognition for every member of our team - from front of house to the kitchen crew - who work so hard to give our guests an unrivalled food and drink experience.”
The Adamson has also just announced their new Director Head Chef, Paul Hart, who joins them from The Scotsman in Edinburgh, and earlier this year opened St Andrews first dedicated cocktail bar alongside the restaurant.
Julie added: “It’s been an incredible few months. The bar has rapidly established itself as a ‘go to’ destination in St Andrews - and we are delighted to welcome Paul to the team.”
Paul added: “I am delighted for the entire team that we have won this accolade - and I very much look forward to welcoming guests old and new, ensuring we continue to wow and exceed their expectations.”
The Restaurant takes its name from Dr John Adamson, the famous St Andrews physician and photographic pioneer, whose home was on the same site at 127 South Street.
