A GLENROTHES teenager is preparing to represent Scotland in the tenpin bowling European Youth Championships, reports FIONA PURNELL.

Stacy Ramsay will be competing in the tournament in Munich.

The Glenrothes High School pupil will be hoping for a Scottish medal as the team compete against 20 different countries in the German city.

Her mum and dad, Jacqueline and John, are both proud of her achievements and wish her well in the latest tournament.

Jacqueline said: “All year they do competitions and the highest ranked girls get to compete in the championships.

“When they are there, they will be playing singles, doubles and team games.

“She is quite happy to be going and she is well up for it.

“There’s lots of countries that play so it will be a good experience.”

Stacy (17) has been playing tenpin bowling for the last five years with Glenrothes Y.B.C.

International competitions are not new for Stacy, who travelled to France for the same competition last year and has competed for the Triple Crown.
