STAR Primary School has received high praise from Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Schools following their recent inspection.

The report highlights a number of key strengths including the excellent staff teamwork and their commitment to providing a caring and stimulating learning environment. The children’s very strong progress in 
English language and literacy are also recognised by the Inspectors.

The school’s innovative approaches to working with a range of partners and the local community are commended in the report. The children’s pride in the school is noted, as well as their thoughtfulness, motivation and ambition.

Joyce White, Headteacher of Star Primary School for the past 23 years was praised by the Inspectors for being an inspirational leader.

Ms White said: “We’re delighted to receive such a positive report. I’m very proud of our achievements, particularly the hard work and commitment of our pupils and staff.”

Councillor Bryan Poole, Fife Council spokesman for education, children, families and young people, added: “I’m pleased that Education Scotland Inspectors have recognised the very good work at Star Primary School. Joyce White, the parents and staff work hard to provide a caring and effective learning environment in which all children can thrive and enjoy success.”
