VISITORS to the Scottish Fisheries Museum can re-live the lives of fishermen gone by with its summer exhibition ‘Home from the Sea’.
It explores the domestic world of Scottish fishermen and their families over the past 200 years (focusing on the 1850s to the 1950s) and in particular the buildings in which they lived.
The museum has already worked with the community of Cellardyke and The Red Field to produce a ‘living museum’ back in March. Local residents opened their homes to the public to tell the tales of the ancient buildings and items from the museum’s collection.
And the popular coastal attraction is still keen to work with the public to find out more about the fishing villages.
