The sun was shining for the West Wemyss Gala on Saturday as visitors enjoyed a range of stalls and activities in the picturesque seaside village.
The event, known locally as ‘West Fest’ attracted dozens of locals and visitors to the village square for a full afternoon of fun in the sun.
As well as stalls selling a variety of items from jams and chutneys, to handmade gifts and even loom band bracelets and other creations, there was also horse rides and facepainting for the kids and refreshments at the West Wemyss Community Cafe.
As well as welcoming visitors to the village, volunteers at the community cafe were on the look out for more people who would be willing to give up their time to help out.
After opening its doors back in May, the local eatery has gone from strength to strength. Open Wednesday - Sunday weekly, the cafe regularly welcomes dozens of visitors every day and now the current volunteers have put an appeal out for help to deal with the demand.
Volunteers can give up as much time as they can give, and do not need to live locally as travel expenses will be paid.
