Hundreds of people turned out in fine weather for the Kinghorn Gala Parade on Saturday.
Queen Caitlin Dickman and King Daniel Hirst with attendants Sean Marshall and Emma Clunie had a great day overseeing the proceedings and leading the parade through the streets of the town, accompanied by the Kirkcaldy Pipe Band.
The parade was the culmination of Kinghorn Gala Week which kicked off on June 1 with the crowning ceremony in the church.
A variety of events then took place throughout the week including ‘Robinson Crusoe’ sessions, pond guddles, bowling, a talent show, a quiz night, and a treasure hunt at the Ecology Centre.
On Saturday those taking part in the parade, including Batman, Spiderman, Sponge Bob Square Pants and Smurfs, congregated in Park Place before setting off in the parade around the town.
A family sports event then took place at the school playing fields with party night in the Community Centre at night.
Andy Menzies, chairman of Kinghorn Gala Committee, said: “It has been a really good week with lots of fun events which were well attended.
“Although the weather was mixed the majority of our events went ahead as planned and we had a beautiful day for the parade and sports, with the rain not arriving until later on.”
