Police in Levenmouth will be reporting a 16-year-old Methil male to the Procurator Fiscal for various road traffic offences, relating to the use of an unregistered motorcycle on roads and parkland.

The incidents happened in the Byron Street area of Methil on Sunday, December 13 and were detected as part of the ongoing police clamp down on this type of motorcycle crime, under Operation Reflector.

Community Investigation Sergeant, Neil Johnston said: “Individuals behaving in this way are a danger to themselves as well as other road users and pedestrians.

“They have no insurance to cover any damage they may cause and create a noise nuisance wherever they go.

“Whether on the road or riding off-road their behaviour is totally unacceptable.

“We are committed to identifying and reporting offenders on every possible occasion and will look to seize and destroy their machines.”

Any information in relation to the unlawful use of motor vehicles should be reported to police via 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
