AN exhibition celebrating the vibrant natural history of the Isle of May and River Forth has been launched.
Running until November 7 at the Scottish Fisheries Museum, Anstruther, fledgling Fife photographer Stuart Russell’s work is inspired by exploration, discovery and realism.
Of this particular exhibition, titled ‘the birds of May’ he said: “Most of the birds rest on steep cliffs and it was daunting having to lean over the edge to capture their activities.
“However, the island is a jewel for aquatic birds and I was able to get some cracking images.”
Birds of May runs from Mondays to Saturdays from 10am – 4.30pm and Sundays 12pm – 4.30pm.
Entry to the exhibition is free as part of normal museum admission charges.
