Rumours are building not just in Levenmouth but across the country about Buckhaven girl Jade Richards’ involvement in this year’s X Factor TV show.
The Mail told in June that Jade and fellow local singer Colin Malcolm had been spotted at the Glasgow auditions and it seems Jade, at least, got through to the next round.
With contestants having to sign a vow of silence it can’t be confirmed whether she had or not but that hasn’t stopped speculation growing.
Reports on entertainment websites and national newspapers in particular having being adding fuel to the fire by carrying articles about her and five other “rejects” recently appearing at the next stage in London.
The local lass has always remained tight-lipped about her appearance on the show, of which she reached the Judges’ Houses stage in 2011 and Bootcamp in 2012 but perhaps has left a few clues on her Twitter account.
Jade hasn’t made any direct reference to the show but has recently revealed she is on a diet - something she done between the 2011 and 2012 shows.
Last week she tweeted: “Had a good first training session today, then an ice bath. Neither was enjoyable, but got to get on with it.”
This was followed later on in the week by: “Away up to bed to try and get a wee bit sleep, up early for the gym tomorrow,” and then “Good work out at the gym.”
Whether this means Jade has gotten through the London audition round, which involved contestants singing in front of the judging panel of Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger, or not remains to be seen.
The X Factor, with or without Jade and Colin, will begin its 10th series in just over two weeks time from August 17.
