Police in Fife are appealing for information following a theft from a construction site in Kirkcaldy.
The incident took place between 4pm on Friday, October 28 and 7pm on Monday, October 31.
An Apex Power Solutions industrial generator was stolen from the site on Earn Road.
PC Kinga Miskiewicz, Community Officer for Kirkcaldy East, said: “We expect that the culprits would have needed a van or some type of vehicle to remove the generator.
“We’d urge anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between these times to get in touch.
“Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the generator, which has the unit number ‘7554’ on it, is also asked to come forward.”
He added: “If you purchase a stolen item, knowingly or otherwise, then this can be reclaimed by the rightful owner meaning a financial loss to yourself.”
Anyone with information which can help can contact Police Scotland on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
