POLICE in Kirkcaldy have detected a woman and two men for various offences in the town over the last week.
A 32-year-old woman has been cautioned and charged with four attempted thefts of motor vehicles and two thefts from motor vehicles. All of these crimes took place in the Links area between March 17 and 18.
A report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in Kirkcaldy and officers have thanked the public for providing information about these incidents.
On March 23, police executed a drugs search warrant at a property in Lawson Street. This resulted in over 75 cannabis plants and growing equipment being seized. A 42-year-old man is to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act and intentionally altering his electricity meter.
On March 22, a 32-year-old man was charged with two shoplifting offences when alcohol was stolen from stores on Forth Avenue and Birnam Road.
Meanwhile, the public are being reminded to make sure their garden sheds are safe.
The recent spell of good weather can also result in a rise in sneak-in thefts and people should ensure tools, bikes and garden furniture are secured in sheds.
