our Face of Fife 2012 winner Toni Izatt said she had “not yet come back down to earth” after her wonderful win at the weekend.
The 18-year-old from Methil wowed the judges with her “unique look, lovely smile and enthusiasm” in the stunning catwalk show held in Kitty’s nightclub, Kirkcaldy, on Sunday.
Toni, who works part-time in a bakery in Leven, and would like to work in the beauty field, said: “The whole day was just an amazing experience from start to finish. I was really nervous as I had never done anything like that before, and a few of the other girls had some experience, so I thought one of them would win.
“When I went on the catwalk for the first time and heard all my family and friends cheering me on it really boosted my confidence and I came off buzzing and wanting to do it all over again. The second time I felt a lot happier, and I really loved the outfit and jewellery I was wearing which made me feel more comfortable.”
Toni’s whole family, including mum Melanie, dad Greg and sisters Natasha (13), and Aleasha (12), were there to support her, along with friends.
“When they called my name out as the winner I couldn’t believe it and I just burst into tears. My whole family were crying too and I was glad I had waterproof mascara on!
“I had a wonderful day getting my hair and make-up done and wearing the lovely outfits - it was just a brilliant experience.”
Runners-up in the competition were Mariana Molina De Bourg and Catherine Johnstone.
Toni said that since her win she has been inundated with messages congratulating her on calls and her social network pages.
She wins £500 and a photoshoot with Catch Photography with hair and make-up from Migele Experience.
