Glenrothes MP Lindsay Roy is calling on local residents to have a free, independent health check from the Money Advice Service, which was established by government and is funded by a levy on the financial services industry.

He said: “This is a great tool to help people plan for the future, which is why I am urging everyone to spare a few minutes to complete the financial health check

‘’It takes less than 10 minutes to complete, involves no paper work and provides an action plan suited to the individuals circumstances.

‘’These action plans include quick ‘must do’s’ as well as clear financial priorities for the longer term, helping people both now and in the future.’’

In addition to the financial health check, the service also provides a pensions calculator, a baby costs calculator and many other tools: visit www.moneyadvice.org.uk or call 0300 500 5000 to discuss matters over the phone or to book a face-to-face appointment.
