FLY-tippers made a double strike at a town training hub.
Around 60 tyres were dumped near Glenrothes Martial Arts Centre.
The incidents angered David Sneddon, who runs the Alburne Park centre, where the tyres were left strewn over a bank at the rear of the building.
He said: “The tyres were dumped in two lots either side of the festive period.
“It must have been done through the night when I’m not here.
“About 20-odd got dumped the first time and eventually there were around 60.
“They were large four by four tyres and whoever dumped them would have to have used a lorry to bring them down here.”
Mr Sneddon, who also runs a town joinery business, thought about disposing of the tyres himself, but explained: “It would have cost me hundreds of pounds because they charge for commercial vans using the centres.”
It is understood that Fife Council environmental services were to make arrangements to uplift the tyres and were also investigating where they came from.
