VANDALS caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage when they broke into Glenrothes Cricket Club’s pavilion some time on Monday night.

The culprits stole or trashed cricket kit during the incident, as well as equipment and supplies.

Police are keen to trace those responsible and are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

This is the second time the cricket club has been hit this year following vandalism to the club’s pitch covers in April.

In total, the two incidents have caused over £10,000 worth of damage at the Riverside Park premises.

Anyone with information should call the police on 101.
