CREATIVE students at Buckhaven High School are taking as revitalised look at the world of art.

Fresh Perspectives, an exhibition of work from the school’s art and design department is now open to the public.

Showcasing the work of pupils from S1-S6, the presentation offers visitors to Methil Heritage Centre a real visual treat, with expressive, design and 3D work spanning the last two academic years.

Micha Weir, head of art and design said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the fabulous work the pupils are creating at Buckhaven High.

“It also helps raise the profile of the school not just locally, but throughout Levenmouth and the rest of Fife.”

Janice Crane, exhibitions and outreach curator for Fife Cultural Trust, added: “The quality of this show reflects the talent and hard work shown by both pupils and staff.

“It is always a pleasure to work with Buckhaven High School’s art teachers to present such a colourful display in the dark winter months.”

Fresh Perspectives runs until January 12 and, pictured from left, are Erin Mitchell, Robert Morrison, Daniel Burns, Connlan Murphy, Micha Weir, Leigh Michie and Elise Bell.
