A Windygates woman has been made a partner in Fife-based accountancy firm, Carters.
Gail Cowan, a former pupil at Kirkland High School, has been with the firm at Glenrothes for nearly 13 years, four of them as an associate.
A qualified Sage specialist, Gail will continue to train and support clients who use the flexible accounting software, which she can tailor for specific needs. Gail, who is married with two grown-up sons, said: “I’m looking forward to the new challenge and becoming more involved in the strategy of the firm, as well as working towards my Mindshop accreditation.”
Stephen Taylor, managing partner at Carters, said he was delighted with Gail’s appointment.
He added: “Gail has been with us for a number of years and has built up close ties and bonds with clients. She is highly regarded by both colleagues and clients and will play an important part in Carters over the next 10 years or so.
“The firm is continuing to grow and there is definitely a degree of confidence creeping back into the economy.”
