The winning artwork from this year’s Fife Art Exhibition 2012 was handed over to NHS Fife last week.

The exhibition, which has been running for an impressive 28 years, took place in the Lochgelly Centre this year, due to the on-going renovation works at Kirkcaldy Museum and Gallery.

There were six winning artists from around the Kingdom, including two from Kirkcaldy; John Beveridge for his work ‘A Boy’ and Dawn Murray for ‘Sketchbook Exploration’.

A number of amateur artists submitted work to be displayed in the exhbition, and the final prize-winners were joined by David Burgess, plant manager at Shell, which sponsors the event, for the handover to NHS Fife, which will display the art throughout its hospitals.
