Woman dies from injuries sustained in Freuchie crash

A 73-year-old woman has died following a serious road collision near Freuchie on Wednesday.

Katherine Armit, who was a front seat passenger within a Ford Fiesta, suffered serious injuries when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a tractor on the A92 at its junction with the Freuchie to Kettlebridge road (C20) at around 10.55am.

She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she passed away yesterday morning (Thursday).

A 47-year-old woman, who was driving the Fiesta, sustained an injury to her wrist, while the 18-year-old male driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Road Policing Officers continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding this incident and anyone who can assist with their enquiries is asked to come forward.
