BLONDE baritone Rhydian Roberts will bring some added X Factor to popular musical ‘Grease’ when he guest stars as Teen Angel for its one week run in Dunfermline.
The Welsh singer joins the previously announced Danny Bayne (winner of ITV’s ‘Grease is the Word) as Danny and Carina Gillespie as Sandy for the show at the Alhambra Theatre in September.
The original high school musical enjoyed an electrifyin’ four year run in London’s West End before beginning its new tour last spring.
After reaching the final of ‘The X Factor’ in 2007, Rhydian has gone on to release four albums; perform at arenas and concert venues around the country with some of the world’s biggest artists including Celine Dione, Michael Bublé and the Stereophonics.
Rhydian has crossed over on to the theatre stage, having appeared in ‘The War of the Worlds’ (European tour 2010) and as ‘Khashoggi’ in the UK tour of Queen musical, ‘We Will Rock You’.
He made his debut in ‘Grease’ last year and reprised the role of Teen Angel for a limited season this spring.
‘Grease’ is at the Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline on September 17-22.
