RAITH Rovers will have to produce the performance of the season if they are to make the promotion play-off finals.
They have just 90 minutes to claw back a two-goal deficit after losing the first leg to Airdrie United in front of over 2800 fans at Stark's Park last night.
Rovers are expected to take a huge travelling support along the M8, and they will be expecting the team to raise its game in an all-or-nothing second leg showdown.
Manager John McGlynn believes the tie is still alive.
"Two-nil is a funny lead," he said.
"There pressure is on them. Do they stick or twist? If we get a goal back, no matter what time it goes 2-1, it's game on. That's what we've got to believe.
"I don't think we played badly over the 90 minutes. We started as well as we've started and played quality football but it's hard to defend the two goals we've lost."
McGlynn blamed his goalkeeper, Chris Fahey, for the loss of two avoidable goals in the first half.
"Chris has made two very bad errors of judgement and got himself into no mans land and its cost us goals," he said.
"Goals win games but you can't legislate for these errors that he made. It's hard to defend the indefensible.
