A CUPAR P.E. teacher will be swapping north east Fife for more exotic climes this autumn.
Pat Rollo, of Bell Baxter High School, has been appointed athletics team leader for Team Scotland at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

She told the Fife Herald she was "absolutely delighted" with her new role, which follows a decade of involvement with Scottish Athletics.

A former record-breaking athlete herself, Pat will take charge of the day-to-day management of Scotland's track and field competitors in India, as well as assisting the overall team manager.

Since joining Scottish Athletics she has looked after young athletes at Olympic and Commonwealth Youth Games.

Cupar will also be represented at this year's Commonwealths by retired P.E. teacher Gina Logan, who has been appointed deputy general team manager.

Meanwhile, two former Bell Baxter pupils are hoping to line up in Delhi as part of the Team Scotland contingent.

Chris Fusaro and Louise Munn are currently part of the Scottish rugby sevens and hockey training squads respectively, with both in contention for places at the Games.
