Death of popular karate instructor

Tributes have flooded in from all over the world following the death of popular karate instructor John Lambert, aged 54.

John, 5th.Dan senior instructor of the Scottish Goju Ryu Karate Association passed away peacefully at home in Glenrothes on June 28 following a long illness, fought with great courage.

Sensei Lambert dedicated almost 40 years of his life to the study of Goju Ryu Karate. He was loved and respected by thousands of Karate students and travelled the world.

John was well known for his community involvement and was an intregal part of the Glenrothes Road Running Festival as well as being a committee member of the Twin Town's Olympiad association.

John is survived by his wife Sandra, daughter Pauline, son Iain and son-in law Ian. Online tributes can be viewed at IOGKF.com and SGKA.co.uk.
