Tayport will have say in who wins league

AS TAYPORT bid to finish as high as possible in the East Super League table, their results will influence the destination of the title.
'Port must still play both of the contenders, Lochee United and Whitburn, with the latter providing the opposition tomorrow (Saturday).
The match takes place at Central Park and Tayport will perhaps feel that they are due a win, as their record against 'Burn is, quite simply, awful.
A goalless draw on the Canniepairt, a couple of years ago, is the closest 'Port have come to defeating the Central Parkers.
Frank Conway should have most of the squad available for Saturday's contest and the fact that Ross Gunnion, Grant Paterson, Darren Scott and Brian Craik were all on the bench for the Oakley game, shows a certain strength in depth which could be crucial at this stage in the campaign.
Manager Conway said: "There are high expectations at this club, so we're looking to win every one of our remaining games and finish as high as we can.
``Yes, it's disappointing that we're not challenging for the title, but we do want to set high standards."
Kick-off at Whitburn on Saturday, is at 2.30p.m.
On Wednesday, Tayport will take on title favourites, Lochee United, but not on league business.
It's an East of Scotland Cup, third round tie and Frank Conway's team will see the trophy as the most prestigious of the tournaments in which they are still involved.
Additional motivation lies in the manner of the DJ Laing League Cup final reversal, when the Bluebells were fortunate to snatch the silverware from Tayport's grasp. Hopefully a good crowd will assemble for a tie which kicks off at 6.45pm.
