CUPAR-based companies AM Soccer and AM Sports Tours have had a busy summer so far.

A packed schedule has featured a trip to the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine, a coaching programme in Los Angeles with English Premier League stars, and a visit to north east Fife by a Saudi Arabian youth team.

The successful 16-day trip to Euro 2012 for a team from Minnesota was followed by director Austin MacPhee and head coach Lindsay Sharp heading across the Atlantic themselves to take the AM Soccer curriculum to the States,

They were joined at the training camp by top players Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Stephen Ireland (Aston Villa), Zat Knight (Bolton), Victor Anichebe (Everton) and Shaun Wright-Phillips (QPR).

The AM Sports Tours branch of the business is currently working on opening an office in the US.

On Sunday, July 15, at 1.30pm, Saudi guests Jeddah City will play against an AM Soccer team at Recreation Park in St Andrews as part of the firm’s Saudi Arabia and Scotland Football Festival Day.

In addition, AM Soccer is running holiday programmes throughout the summer at Cupar, Newport, St Andrews, Kirkcaldy and Anstruther.
