FIFE Flyers fans can get a first glimpse of their new-look team at a preseason tournament taking place in Kirkcaldy next month.

The four Scottish Elite League sides – Edinburgh Capitals, Dundee Stars, Braehead Clan and Fife – will compete over the weekend of September 1 and 2 for the inaugural Scottish Autumn Cup.

The season officially begins a week later, but the tournament will be a chance for the four Northern Conference teams to shake off the summer rust, and mark their territory, ahead of the new EIHL campaign.

The format will see two semi-finals take place on the Saturday, and the draw has paired Braehead with Dundee, face-off 5.00 p.m, before Fife take on Edinburgh at 8.00 p.m.

The two losing semi-finalists will contest the third/fourth place play-off on the Sunday at 5.00 p.m before the finalists go head to head at 8.00 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased direct from Fife Ice Arena, or via Flyers official club website – www.fifeflyers.co.uk.

Tickets prices are as follows: Two Day Pass (includes all four games) – adults £36, concessions £26, kids £18; One Day Pass (for either Saturday or Sunday) – adults £22, concessions £14, kids £10; One Game Ticket (game two either day) – adults £15, concessions £10, kids £8.

Organisers hope that the competition can become an annual event between the four clubs.
