Kirkcaldy hit the jackpot at Hughenden last with their ten try demolition of a poor Hillhead/Jordanhill side.
This week they face another Glasgow side when Whitecraigs visit Beveridge Park (kick-off 3pm) and who will provide much tougher opposition.
Head coach Quintan Sanft will have noted that the Blues have only once been successful in five previous meetings with them.
In the most recent encounter last March, in the midst of a winning run, Kirkcaldy went down by a hefty 38-5 margin.
As in their three earlier games this season the Blues pack looked to be in imperious form at Hugheneden and received a boost with the return from Dundee High of lock forward Connor Wood and the renewed availability of Matt Harvey from his naval duties.
These two have been outstanding performers for Kirkcaldy in previous seasons and their inclusion in the squad will undoubtedly increase competition for places.
The back line looked much more threatening against Hillhead than in the earlier games, no doubt helped by the constant supply of quality ball from a winning pack.
Kurt Littlejohn, absent all season through injury, is edging closer to regaining full fitness and may be ready to take his place against Whitecraigs.
One certain absentee will be scrum half Gavin McKenzie who will be attending a wedding.
In what has been a rough season so far for them, Kirkcaldy 2nd XV travel to Tillicoultry to play Hillfoots 1st XV.
