The sevens rugby season is certainly in full swing with teams from across the north east Fife area competing in a variety of competition both at home and away.
One of those sides out in action already is the Seabass Select, a charity fundraising 7s rugby team which has had a successful start to their 2014 campaign.
The side is made up of local rugby players who compete in action while looking to raise cash for good causes at the same time.
Money is collected while the side is in action with fans asked to donate what they can to support the side’s selected charities.
Seabass Select may be playing for charity, but were anything but charitable recently at the Greenock sevens where they ran out the competitions winners.
Howe of Fife players make up the majority of the Seabass Select side and last year raised almost £500 for local charities.
With the Howe of Fife 7’ taking place this weekend, the Seabass Select aim to beat that last years total while also replicating their success on the pitch.
Captain Ali Wilson said: “It is such a great feeling to be able to play rugby and raise money at the same time and I was so proud of the boys this weekend.
“I would just encourage people to keep digging deep to help such worthy local causes.
“Bring on the Howe 7s.”
