THE weekend saw all East Fife ladies and younger girls’ football teams in action.
All were victorious, with the exception of the ladies.
On Saturday, the under-11s won and drew their games, 5-1 and 2-2, while the under-13s won a hard-fought game in Cupar.
The under-15s beat Celtic Tayside 5-2, with goals from Laura Dawson, Elissa Nicholson (2), and a goal each from Chloe Gorlay and Ali Meek, who have just made the transition from the under-13s team.
The ladies weren’t so successful, losing 4-2 to a talented Murieston side. Goals came from Mowbray and Skivington.
Mowbray Jnr had also been on the scoresheet for the under-11s.
This week sees them take on St Andrews University at home in their last pre-season friendly.
The season then starts against Hibs in the league cup on Sunday, March 11 at King George V Park with a 2pm kick-off.
East Fife are seeking new members for their under-15 team, so if you are a girl aged 12-15 and are interested in playing football, do get in touch with Liz Anderson on 07872 909 748 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
