Long-serving local lad Jamie Wilson will return to Fife Flyers next season, the club has confirmed.
The Kirkcaldy-born 28-year-old has been part of Flyers’ roster since the BNL days, making his breakthrough during the 2004/05 season aged 17.
Wilson, who can play both forward and defence, struggled to hold down a regular place in the team last season.
However, the 6’ft 200lbs left hander is determined to get back on the ice next term.
“I am delighted to be back playing another season in Fife,” he said.
“I think last season had its highs and lows but I am certainly excited for the upcoming season.
“I know all the local lads have been working hard on fitness in the off season so hopefully this paays off and we get off to a great strt, which will hopefully lead to a successful season ahead.”
Danny Stewart, Flyers associate coach, added: “When Jamie is using his size and keeping things simple he is much more effective.
“Last season he battled consistently with this and he is fully aware of where he needs to be in order to compete for ice time.
“Jamie is an important guy on our squad and in the room and we are delighted to have him back.”
