Fife Flyers will look to take their stunning scoring form into a second consecutive weekend.
Flyers hit the net 13 times in last weekend’s home double header which resulted in comfortable wins over Hull Stingrays and Edinburgh Capitals.
And with a struggling Caps side back at Fife Ice Arena this Saturday, Flyers will be looking to dish out more punishment before heading south to take on Sheffield Steelers on Sunday.
Flyers fell behind in both weekend wins and head coach Todd Dutiaume, who returned to the ice after a long injury lay-off, was pleased with the team’s response.
“This team has been together for a year and a quarter now and it has the composure to recognise that they don’t have to panic in those situations,” he said.
Dutiaume played in Saturday’s win over Hull as cover for the suspended Jordan Fulton, before moving back behind the bench for the win over Edinburgh.
He revealed he may dress again for future games either as cover, or as a 12th import - if he is eligible. Elite League rules stipulate that clubs can only ice 11 work permit holders in the line-up.
“If we iced 12 one of us would have to be a passport holder so I’ll have to look into my eligibility,” Dutiaume said.
