FIFE Flyers are targeting their first win of the season as they gear up for a gruelling triple bill.
The Kirkcaldy side has lost its opening three games in the Elite League, but player-coach Todd Dutiaume expects his team to break their duck in the Challenge Cup tie against Edinburgh Capitals at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday night.
However, the match is sandwiched in between league trips to Belfast on Friday, and Hull on Sunday.
“Some of our imports are used to going three games in a row, but it’s maybe a new experience for our local guys,” he said. “Everyone will be logging a lot of minutes this weekend.
“It’s not ideal, and it’s possibly a learning curve for the club not to allow ourselves to be landed with fixtures like this in the future.
“I’m expecting a tough game in Belfast, but we’ve made big strides between the Coventry and Nottingham games.
“We’re in the middle of our adjustment period – and we’ve got a few more weeks to go – but I don’t want any set-backs.
“We have to consider the Edinburgh game as a must-win. There has to be an edge about us on Saturday night.”
