With Kirkcaldy YM and Thornton Hibs’ games falling foul of the weather over the weekend, the only local junior side in action was Dundonald Bluebell.

The Bluebell travelled to Dundee Violet on league duty and returned back across the Tay Bridge with a point following a 1-1 draw.

The visitors were well on top during the early stages and should have taken the lead when Hendry was brought down inside the box.

Duffy’s penalty, though, was saved.

The visitors got the goal they deserved when a cross from Walton was headed into the net by Carr.

Dundonald were reduced to ten men when Grieves conceded a penalty and was sent off.

But Lennox made a super save from the penalty to keep his team in front.

Falconer should have scored for Dundonald but he missed an easy chance after being played in by Elder.

Another strange decision that went against the visitors was when Orrick was through on goal and was brought down inside the box but the referee booked him for diving.

With the game deep into injury time Dundee were awarded a soft penalty when Walton was judged to have fouled inside the box.

Lennox got his hand to the penalty but could not stop it crossing the line.

This weekend Dundonald will be back on home turf when they welcome Montrose.

Thornton and Kirkcaldy YM will also be looking to get back into action.

Hibs travel to face Blairgowrie while YM welcome Kirriemuir Thistle.
