Tayport will be hoping to bounce back from last Saturday’s defeat in Dalkeith, when they play host to Arniston Rangers tomorrow with East Premier League points again up for grabs.

The Canniepairt men had been in good goal-scoring form until the blip at King’s Park, so John Ovenstone will be hoping to see his charges hit the goal trail again this Saturday.

Arniston will, however, be a tough proposition as they still harbour hopes of getting into the promotion places, with a play-off spot their best bet.

Having played the same number of games as Tayport, the Gorebridge outfit are four points and four places better off.

The sides shared the spoils when they met at Newbyres Park, in the previous meetingwith Jamie Mackie netting for ‘Port in a 1-1 draw.

The midfielder will be a key man again tomorrow, as he has been a creative force during the campaign and has chipped in with his share of goals.

Up front, on-form Gary Sutherland, Dale Reid and Alan Tulleth could be vying for two places, although the trio all started the match at Dalkeith.

Absentees at King’s Park were Kieran Conway and Daniel Sanchez and their presence was missed, so the gaffer will be hoping to have at least one of them available tomorrow, for a match which kicks off at 2.30pm.
