EAST Fife’s players will resume pre-season training on June 4 - with a fairly packed summer already on the calendar.
It’ll be a relatively short holiday break for the squad before they get down to serious preprarations for the 2011-12 campaign.
With many of the established team members already committed to another term at Bayview - and the strong way in which the Fifers finished the season just past, there looks to be a solid platform on which to build.
Manager John Robertson indicated the players would be in regular Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday training in the build-up to next term.
A number of close-season fixtures have already been fixed up and the boss is looking to add more to the diary, as well as checking out potential new players.
Jim Jefferies is due to bring his Hearts first-team squad to Methil on July 5, with Hibernian recently scheduled to visit the Fifers on July 9.
Robertson is also hoping for another home game for July 12.
Already confirmed is the four-team tournament on July 16-17 involving the Fifers with Raith Rovers, Southend United and Dundee.
Two matches are set to be played at Bayview on both days.
