East Fife boss out for two more weeks

Gordon Durie

EAST Fife manager Gordon Durie has been advised by his doctor to remain off work for a further two weeks.

It means Durie will at least miss the Bayview side’s games at home to Forfar Athletic on Saturday and away to Queen of the South the following weekend.

East Fife chairman Sid Columbine had hoped Durie, who has been missing since falling ill after the home match against Queen of the South on August 18, would make his return to the dugout this weekend.

Brian McNaughton and Bob Malcolm have taken over the coaching duties, following the resignation of assistant manager and stand in boss Gordon Chisolm.

It is expected they will remain in temporary charge until Durie is deemed fit enough to return.
