EAST Fife’s ladies recorded a much needed win over Queens Park.

Queens Park went 1-0 up after a long ball from the right found the striker in behind the Fife defence and with Hamilton advancing the striker kept her cool and lobbed the keeper.

The Fifers levelled when Irvine drove down the right hand side beating two players and playing a beautiful ball in to Skivington.

The ball was slightly behind her and she flicked the ball over the ‘keeper with her heel.

East Fife went ahead when Irvine beat players wide and floated a wonderful ball across the box.

Reilly rose highest to fire a thunderous header in to the top corner.

Queens Park tried to find the equaliser but were thwarted by Irvine and Kemp and Hamilton relieved all pressure by coming and claiming a dangerous cross.

Player manager, Liz Anderson said: “We badly needed this win.

“I knew we were not far away.

“We played well today and deserved the win.

“Our young players, Dawson, Irvine, Pattison, Skivington and Hamilton are all relishing the challenge of stepping up to senior football.”
