BIG names have been linked with East Fife this summer, but boss Willie Aitchison believes goalkeeper Michael Andrews, signed from Brechin City, will be one to watch next season.
He told the Mail: “Michael has been with Scotland under-21s and understands what’s going to be required of him here. He’s only 23 and is another who we expect to develop.
“He’ll be full-time so will be working with Davie Westwood (goalkeeper coach) during the night and we’ll have somebody in during the day working with him. He’s somebody we want to push as far as we can.”
Wolves will visit Bayview on Wednesday, July 10, for a friendly, with Fife rivals Cowdenbeath arriving the following Saturday.
A visit to Alloa on Saturday, July 6, has already been announced.
Aitchison added: “Paul Hartley has a reputation for bringing teams on very quickly to hit the ground running so that will be a very tough test.
“The Wolves game is one for the fans, the local community and the young boys in our team. They got relegated last season, but are still full of quality.”
